Situated 25km south of Rimini on the borders of the provinces of Romagna and Marché, just east of Tuscany and Umbria, is the Castello di Montegridolfo set in the enchanting medieval village of Montegridolfo.

This tiny hilltop village lies among the green hills of the Valconca valley, which gently slope down to the Adriatic Sea, some 16 kilometres distant.

The result is simply breathtaking. Surrounded by beautiful gardens it commands a panoramic view over a countryside dotted with abandoned fortresses, towers, ancient churches and various historical sites. This delightful village, with a population of only 24, has been lovingly restored over a period of six years by a group of local entrepreneurs. The restoration work, applied to all the buildings in the village, has faithfully maintained the overall aesthetic quality of this historic hamlet. Throughout the year, the village organises events that promote the traditions and culture of Montegridolfo.
